The side effects of the pill

This is a pill that is a contraceptive to avoid pregnancy. It was simply to use and nearly 100% effective. For a lot of women it was important because it worked really well for them. Also it was important to them because it avoided pregnacy, something they did not have years ago until THE PILL was invented.

The impact on women today is now there is a lot of conterceptives out there that young teens/ moms can use to not have another pregnacy, or get pregnat. Like the pill, is a conterceptive that helps you do that.

But it only has one bad thing wich are the side effects,
most not all contraceptive have them but some do. "Most complaints were mild, such as nausea, bloating, weight gain and depression". With the pill "many women willingly suffered these ailiments in exchange for such highly effective birth control.
However..
- FIRST PROBLEMS REPORTED
less than two years after the U.S food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the pill, word began to filter into the inner circle of the FDA and the drug companies of more seriouse side effects.
there were reports of blood clots, strokes, and possible links to cancer. There were 132 cases of blood clots in pill users. Eleven cases resulted in death. Searie mantained that there was no conclusive proof that the pill caused those deaths, and the FDA assured doctors the drug was safe.
- COMPLAINTS DISMISSED.
From the very beginning, a significant number of women complained of discomfort from the Pill and switched to other methods. When women wanted to discuss the side effects with their doctors, they often met with fustration. It was common for their complaints to be dismissed as exaggerated. In other cases their ailiments were just considered the price that women had to pay in return for such an effective contraceptive.
